Just wanted to make a quick post to let you know that all team members and their families are safe after the attack in Nairobi. In a message from a Maggie, she let us know that the country is devastated. She asked for continued thoughts and prayers as they recover from this tragedy.

Blessings, Jessica, Claudia, Maggie, and team Five years ago this month we sold our first piece of jewelry and started changing a community! THANK YOU for your support of our team and our mission. Because of your support, we've been able to provide electricity to team's homes, driver's license training and certification, many school fees for our team's children as well as several team members, and so much more!

Students have started a new year of school and the team is grateful to have been able to pay their school fees on time. Many thanks to all of our supporters who made that possible!
We look forward to what 2018 holds for us, especially seeing new and old friends at some of our favorite events each year! We're so excited because several of our most favorite events are coming soon! The Junior League of Spartanburg is hosting their Santa's Shoppe this weekend. If you're in the Spartanburg, SC area Thursday from 6:00 PM - Sunday at 5:00 PM be sure to stop by! It's SO worth it!
In two weekends, we'll also be participating in the Swamp Rabbit's Holiday Flea in Greenville. We hope you can come enjoy breakfast at the cafe and then enjoy wandering through so many great vendors! Small Business Saturday will be here next weekend and it would be a great time to shop at our local partners: Solo West End on Main Street in Greenville, SC, UrbanDigs off Wade Hampton in Greenville, SC, and The Book Juggler on South Main in Memphis, TN. If you're unable to make it to any of the above, you can always check our website or email us for any specific items you're looking for :). Thank you for your continued support; we couldn't do it without you! Happy shopping! Although it doesn't feel like it in much of the US, fall has arrived which means the holidays are right around the corner! Things continue to go well for our team; we are so blessed to hear how the Earthly Riches funds continue to open up so many doors for our Kenyan team! From counseling training to electricity to new businesses, our team is staying busy. EMPOWERMENT would be a great word to describe the changes we are seeing. Thank you for being a part of that!
As you've probably heard, they will be having a reelection on October 7 from the previous presidential election. Please continue to pray for peace during this extended election season. We made it through the first one peacefully, but many are on edge about what is to come. Thank you for your continued support of the team...four years and counting...wow! Love and blessings to each of you! In just under two weeks, on August 8th, Kenya will hold their elections for president over the next four years. There is a lot of tension among our friends as there has already been some violence during the pre-election process. We ask that you keep the country of Kenya in your thoughts over the next few weeks as the election occurs and the country processes the results. On the American side of Earthly Riches, things continue to go well. Keep an eye out on our Facebook page for new necklaces to help you get ready for fall and football season! We appreciate your support of the difference being made in Kenya through Earthly Riches. Look forward to seeing you at one of our fall events!
